Screeding
With over 20 year’s knowledge in all types of floor screeding, including Fast drying, Free flowing and traditional screeding. The company continues to grow and develop its products, services and knowledge.
Gaining our Isocrete licence in January 2004 enabled us to introduce a fresh approach to floor screeding and offer a number of performance advantages.
We offer:
- Traditional Floor Screed - Sand and Cement
- Isocrete K Screed – strong & quick drying
- Isocrete Fast K – fast drying & rapid hardening
- Isocrete Heavy Duty K Screed – for high traffic areas
- Isocrete Self level Plus – for commercial use
- Isocrete Self Level Base– thicker underlayment for use on out of level concrete floors
- Isocrete Self Level Renovation – self level of existing floors with the ability to overlay existing floor finishes
We use PP fibres in all of our Screeds, as a cost effect route that reinforces the screed.
McDaid Screeding Services are approved Contractors for Supaflo and Cemex, also leading brands in the market.
All Operatives are fully trained and experienced and therefore have CSCS cards of which most of them now have their NVQ level 2 In-Situ Flooring.
Resin
Our resin operatives and management have over 40 years worth of experience within the full spectrum of resin floor finishes. This enables McDaid Screeding services to provide the correct technical specification for each project which incorporates the client’s full performance criteria and aesthetical needs.
We became full contractor members to Ferfa in 2007, Ferfa are the governing body of the resin flooring industry. They actively work hand in hand with British Standard’s, and the HSE producing and passing legislated documentation, specifications, and requirements for resin floors finishes from surface preparation to slip resistance requirements.
Our operatives are all skilled holding CSCS cards NVQ Level 2 and in some cases level 3. The resin systems used are based on epoxy, polyurethane, MMA Fastcure, Novalaq and vinyl ester resin technology.
We Offer:
- All aspects of mechanical vacuum assisted surface preparation
- Resin moisture primers tolerant of 98% relative humidity
- Resin coatings and primers ranging from 0.15mm – 1mm
- Resin composite multi layered systems from 2mm – 3mm
- Resin self smoothing screeds from 2mm – 3mm
- Resin trowel finish screeds incorporating clear or pigmented sealers from 4 – 6mm
- Heavy Duty resin self smoothing screeds from 4mm – 6mm
- Heavy Duty trowel finished resin screeds from 6mm – 12mm
Along with the above we carry out site inspection testing such as moisture, BRE drop hammer, etc.
